Tranny question. Blew mine out, looking for replacement
Quick question... Longer story to come later... But will the 2010 tranny bolt to a 2004? Pretty sure my trans I'd toast in my fx4...

Good ?, I just rolled 100,500 in my '06 and my transmission kicks shifting from 3rd to 4th and kicks at 1,800rpms while in 4th and overdrive...waiting for it to throw a code soon. If u can bolt up another trans that would be great

I got the codes p0731 and p0732 today while working. I got stuck in a snowbank and had to get yanked out by a tractor. Tranny feels super weird now. Looking around for a used ones right now as I don't have a ton of cash right now, but I need my truck running. There's a guy with a 2010 parting out but looks like its a different tranny...

Sounds like the same problem I had with my 06 FX4 coil pack. I had one go about a month and a half later another and a month and a half later another so I got ticked off and replaced the remaining coil packs with ones from O'riley with all of them now having a life time warranty. I think they now have a deal where you can buy all 8 in a package deal and I believe those are accell brand.

The 04-08's have the 4r75e. You should have no problem swapping. If your current trans has started to fail and has polluted the system with clutch debris you will need a new cooler, torque converter and the addition of an inline filter. You will have to throughly flush the lines and portion of the radiator dedicated to trans cooling. You cannot properly flush the cooler or torque converter. Reuse of either will lead to another failure usually within about 10k miles.

No shouldn't matter. The only F-150 you would not want the trans from in the 04-08 series is the trans coming off of a 04 or 05 4.6 F150 which has the 4r70w.
Btw the cooler, inline filter, and I believe the tc can be found at rockauto.com
