Default tranny problems 2007 f 150

i have a 2007 f 150 4x4 5.4l with 80k miles. 6 inch lift with 35x12.50. truck has been great, but tranny no shifts rough from 1st to 2nd, fluid level is good and does not smell burnt, i drive mixed hwy/intown. am i about to blow my tranny.

Please don't tell me you are running 35's with a stock gear ratio...

i honestly dont know, i bought the truck from a ford dealer used with 30k miles. the suspension is rancho.

Alright well we will do this the easy way. Did you put the 35s on after you got the truck or did they come on the truck?

The idiot that had the truck before you I'm guessing didn't change the gear ratio to a 4.56 or 4.88. You need to figure that out before I can go any further with this. Just quickly search for how to check gear ratio on google or the forum.

why would the guy change to such a low ratio for 35s...410 would be plenty

well i can say that it turns around 1800 to 2000 rpms at around 75-80 mph
