Default Trailer lights not working

So this weekend I hooked my trailer up to my new to me 2005 f150. Nothing worked at all. I know it's not the trailer as it works on all the other vehicles that we hook it up to. I haven't really looked at it at all but I'm just wondering if there's any common issues on why this would be out or any places to start before I start tearing into it. Nothing worked, no signal lights, no brake lights, no running lights.

Add to my list of stuff to do I guess

Pull the manual out and check all the fuses. There's 3-4 to look at. If they're all good, check and make sure your plug is grounded good under the truck.

x2^^^ I don't remember if 11th gens have the ones under the hood but I know the 10th gens did and it tricked a lot of people including me. Just make sure you check them all.

I ripped my plug one day and shorted all the wires many years back. Took me over a year to get things sorted out. Found out the hard way each item it on its own circuit... L Turn, R Turn, brake and park lights all have their own fuse on my 05.

Yeah my 10th gen was the same way. The turn signals wouldn't work but everything else worked. Checked all the fuses inside and they were all good. Talked to a friend and he mentioned the ones under the hood. Problem solved.

Yep... no problem.. once you add a brake controller you will need to add a relay also.
