trailer hitch install
trailer hitches are easy. Just need common hand tools, and a second set of hands to hold it up while you bolt it. They are pretty heavy when you're lying on your back and your hands are full!!

if u plan on doing a lot of towing, then go with a good hitch. draw tite makes some of the heaviest mf-er hitches around & they are no drill. the DMI ones seem to need springs & such after a while & are expensive as hell.
the draw tites are no drill. valley hitch is coming up as drilling req'd.

I think the hidden hitch on my silverado was $200 installed a couple years back.
He should already have the standard 4 prong wire connector on the left side of his bumper. If it's the 7 prong round setup, there's a picture on this forum that someone posted awhile back on how to wire it.

Ah.. I didn't know they still pre-wired the non hitch models. Good info. Should be a piece of cake then.
I installed the factory ford trailer hitch and wiring. Ya its more expensive but i knew the hitch wd work great and be tucked up and fit great. And the wiring to get the 7pin is all plug in. My brother works for ford so i got the parts for cheap but check tascaparts for good prices too. IMO its worth the money for the ford parts.
