Default Trailer brakes

I have a 04f150 with the 4 flat already but I just bought a new trailer that’s got brakes and everything on it so I need the 7 way plug on my truck and the trailer brake control in my truck. Is it true that I can just buy the 7 way plug and unplug the plug under the bed and plug n play essentially? And the wire is under the dash already? Or what’s the best way for me to do this?

I dont know about the 7 pin as my truck already had that. I do know that it is true the plug is underneath the drivers side dash already. You will also need to add a relay in the fuse box. I went cheapo and bought this from my local walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hopkins-T...ntrol/36728105 and this adapter https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ford-Brak...pulse/16782542 it was 100% plug and play after I got the relay put in. Again this controller is a cheapo but it works for pulling my 25' TT several times a summer.

23 second mark. Its easy to find. Watch a few videos on Youtube. There's a bunch of them all for different controllers but the stuff in the truck is the same.

A plug and play wiring harness is available that would T into the connector where your 4-pin plugs into the factory harness on the frame rail. The harness also includes the necessary relay.

The brake controller connector is located above and to the right of the OBDII port, it's gray in color. I really like the Prodigy P2 and P3 controllers. They work great, and are very easy to use. If you're not familiar with brake controllers the P3 might be a better choice, as it provides better at-a-glance information about the condition of your trailer braking system. You'd also need a wiring harness to connect the controller to the connector under the dash.

If you click the provided link(REMOVED), you can see a parts list as well as links to install vids for the controller and plug and play wiring harness.

Those are my two connections. So I can buy a trailer 7 way and it’s plug n play in the back here and plug n play into the front with a brake control and stuff like that?Trailer brakes-photo883.jpgTrailer brakes-photo69.jpg

The back I dont know but it sounds like it is. The front you will want to get a harness that matches both the truck and the brake controller, then it will be plug and play. Those harnesses are very common and not hard to find. Dont forget the relay.
