Default Rain soaked dash

Dumb ***** me, I left the moon roof open on my 2008 f150 Lariat during a torrential rain last night !!!! Was able to start it and get home, but the climate control quit after about a minute. Now it won't re start, no cranking. The starter will crank over when the solenoid is shorted at the starter. No signal from the ignition key to solenoid! The anti theft light flashes normally when off but when the key goes to on it flashes rapidly. The #5 fuse,7.5, blows as soon as I plug the climate control face back in. HELP!!!!!

First things first, give it time to dry out before continuing to mess with it. You're only potentially making matters worse. Unplug the radio, climate controls, and even the instrument cluster. If you can readily unplug the airbags I advise that as well to make sure the connections are dry. Once everything is unplugged check the fuses and replace any blown ones, then try starting. This will rule out all the parts you unplugged. After that, start putting things back in one at a time once they're dry. If one causes a fuse to blow, that part is faulty or still wet.

Update. It started today!!! Yay!!! Automatic Climate Control Unit still blowing #5 fuse as soon as it is plugged in to wiring. I'm thinking I'll have to replace the head unit in the dash. Any ideas?

If the radio doesn't trip it, that's not your issue. Sounds like you need a new climate control unit, check scrap yards, should have one for cheap.
