Question Traction control question

Hey guys, I used to own a 2010 FX4. I traded it, long story short, I hated the traction control and not being able to turn it off. I am just not cool with the truck taking over when going above 35 mph.

Anyway, I was planning on getting another ford for my next project. Was 2008 the last year before the insane traction control system, or do I need to go older?

Thanks

I have an 06 FX4 and my buddy has an 08 FX4 and neither of us have a traction control system like the newer ones. I would say you are clean and clear of the traction control in any 04-08 body style truck.

My 08 XLT doesn't have it. My traction control is letting off the narrow pedal on the right lol

All of the F-150's 04 and up have traction control built in to the PCM. The logic can be turned off through custom tuning. Even the trucks with the traction control switch still have the logic and when switched off maintains some control. Again it can be switched off all together in the tune.

If you get an 08, look for an 11/8/07 or newer build date on the driver side valve cover....to avoid the known spark plug issue (in case you haven't already found this info)

The 2010 had the traction control button on the top of the dash. All you had to do was push it and it would turn traction control off
