Default Is Traction Control My Problem?

I've searched the forums and nothing exactly matches what I need to know.

I've noticed on wet roads especially, when stepping on the gas and making the tires spin, the engine picks up and the wheels spin, then the engine comes back down in rpm and regains traction without me moving my foot from the pedal.

I have the edge evolution tuner in it, but is there anything I can do to fix this issue? Such as something on the edge tuner, adding a traction control button, having a dealership disable the traction control? Is this even the traction control???

Any help would be appriciated!

What gears to you have in your rear ends? If you don't know look at the decal on the driver's door and see what it says. It sound like you don't have the limited slip diff.
Here's what you should be seeing(one of these)
19 = 3.55 Non LS
18 = 3.08 Non LS
H9 = 3.55 LS
B6 = 3.73 LS

Its probably upshifting to the next gear. The ratio's are far apart on these trucks and they don't have the ***** to spin through the next gear even on a wet road. So you hit and wheels spin to whatever speed the computer is programmed to shift at and she shifts.

It is the trans. upshift that slows the wheels, combined with the lack of weight in the bed. I test drove a 2007 stock f150. I had no problem with traction, every stop/corner my wife made she spun the tires. I guess it was because she had a heavier foot. I mentioned this to the salesman and he told me that she will get used to that. It also can be tire related, wear, hardness of compound, road surface. I don't know if you can change shift points with the edge, but if you lower the rpm shift point to get it out of 1st sooner, it will "dog" in second until it gets to the next up shift.
The only traction control is if you have the limited slip rear end (mentioned above) or put it into 4wd.
There is no "button".
