Default Track MPG

Looking for something to track the MPG my truck gets while also showing a few other specs. I have a 05 SCREW with about 93,000 miles on it. Really don't have a need for a performance chip. I did see on a site once though of something that allows you to connect your itouch to your OBII sensor and monitor data. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are many smartphone apps that allow you to track fuel consumption via the fill-up method. I use such an app for my Palm Pre.

If you are looking for real-time tracking, then you will need something plugged into the OBII port like you mentioned above.

SCANGUAGE II. I have one in my truck. Been using it to track my MPG for over a year now, plus the transmission fluid temp, the gallons per hour, and a choice of about 20 other items. Best bang for the buck unless you go the route of a super tuner; Bully dog has a tuner that does the SCANGUAGE II stuff, plus it's a tuner.

you could keep a small pad of paper and a pen in the glove box. everytime you fillup, reset your trip odometer. take the total miles driven on that tank of gas and divide it by how many gallons of gas it takes to fill up. Booyah, there's your mpg's for that tank of gas. then you can factor in how much highway/city driving you did and accurately estimate what you can expect with more or less highway or city. I know this is the "old fashioned" way to do this but i'm sure you probably already have a small pad of paper and a pen just lying around the house so in this case, no need to spend that hard earned cash on another gadget!
