Default TPMS Question

Do the TPMS wheel sensors have batteries? What is the life expectancy of the sensors?

For my last set of tires, I went to Costco. Paid the $50 membership and saved $200 off the best price I'd found elsewhere for the tires alone. They put new batteries in the TPMS and the install was included in the price. Basically saved $210 off the local tire shop and nearly $400 off the stealership.

If your TPMS sensors are the band type, replace them with the "inflator" style as well.

That works if you want to buy one of the brand tire’s that they sell...

What valve stem mount TPMS sensors are compatible with the band-type system?
