Here is a pic of my install. They do not fit inside those inserts on my truck. Is this right?

Something doesn't look right to me. It looks like your frame is in alignment with the tow hook cut outs in the lower fascia. The tow hook cut outs should set slightly below the frame, so that when attached, the hooks are centered in the cut outs. Am I missing something?

You're right. Looks like the bumper is pushed back way too far. Something is not right there.

Yep 3" body lift.

But I'm pretty sure the tow hooks were put back in the original slots after the body lift. Then I took them off and added a bull bar. Now I'm going back to tow hooks. Prob no way around it with the body lift?

They really don't look too bad where they are it if that's the only place I put them. I'd rather have them than not.

You could possibly have custom brackets made with a 3" drop down, so they stick out the hole, but attach at the bottom of the bumper, or get a lower bumper piece without the holes cutout. FX2 maybe?

I remembered reading this a few years ago--

You can use Silverado hooks inside the frame rails, it won't look so out of place. The ones below are from a '99 so they may or may not work.

Yeah that's not a bad idea to just run a different tow hook..
Maybe these will look better...

I do like the oem ford tow hooks too, but I'd hate to be staring at that frame horn like that.. You could probably trim the stock hooks to fit inside the frame horn..

As you already figured it out, yes those cutouts on the plastic piece is where the tow hooks fit into.

No, it is a Luverne made product.

I personally don't like it, looks over sized and doesn't fit the lines of the truck very well. Just my opinion. OP, glad you like it, it's your truck.

The front angle picture makes the side pieces look out of place, but it fits the body size. Ya it is my truck and it works for me.

To get back on topic, I would stay away from an open hook style, I've seen plenty of them bent or broken. The stock closed loop ones from Ford are great. The closed "M" shaped Mopar tow hooks are great as well.
