Default Tow Mirrors

I have a 2008 f 150. I'm adding tow mirror with heater, puddle lights and turn signals. My current mirror only have the power adjust. I really only need the turn signals to work for inspection. Am I going to have to do any additional wring?

I don't even think you "need" the mirror blinkers to work to pass an inspection. But yes at some point you will have to do some additional wiring. For the blinkers, heater, puddle lights.

Those mirrors were an option, so anything pertaining to them would not be a requirement to pass inspection.

You might not have to do any additional wiring...but might have to change a few pins on your connector. You won't know until you look at your connector and see what all its already wired for.

Find a diagram of the connector and then match it to your truck, then compare it to a diagram for the tow mirror connector and go from there. On mine I just needed to move a couple pins. I've seen some people have needed to add a wire.

My mirrors are power, heated and turn signal. If I buy tow mirrors that are power, heated, turn signal and have the puddle lights, will the puddle lights work? Just plug and play? My passenger mirror heater doesn't work. Found a set for $180 aftermarket.

As an FYI- I did this exact same/same swap on my 08 and my puddle lights do work.
