Torque Pro App, running on windshield mounted tablet
If you have ever run a similar setup, I would love to see some pictures.
I have an inexpensive android tablet, windshield mount, odb2 splitter and odb2 bluetooth scanner in route.
i plan on buying the Torque Pro app and mounting the tablet horizontally between the A pillar and uprise in the dashboard. the same place you see a lot of people mounting programmers.
the Torque Pro app apparently is quite customizable, which is nice for running gauges.
the upside is it is also a scanner so it reads any codes being thrown.

Can you do this with an iPhone 6? What did you buy to put in the obd 2 port to send all that info to your tablet? That looks awesome would love it in my truck just on something similar in size to my phone.
i spent $49 on the tablet
$16 on the mount
$5 on the app
and
$22 on the ODB2 bluetooth connector.
so for roughly $82 i got this up an running...
if you want links, let me know...
thanks
being an apple/iphone user for years i was very disappointed to find out this app was ANDROID only... i spent $49 on the tablet $16 on the mount $5 on the app and $22 on the ODB2 bluetooth connector. so for roughly $82 i got this up an running... if you want links, let me know... thanks
Thanks

here are the links to what i bought:
i will get back with you on ALL the options that come with stock plug-ins.
in my pic i am monitoring speed, rpms, MAF sensor, Intake temp, vacuum psi, fuel pressure, fuel remaining, it goes on and on.
i will try to provide a comprehensive list tomorrow... but if the odb2 connector puts it out, you can put it on a gauge.
literally all kinds of stuff i don't even have up on my screen. throttle stuff, take off times, etc...
it's sweet...

seems my torque pro app through odb2 bluetooth, using a odb2 splitter and my hud display that i created in this thread don't play well together

i have yet to get them both to work simultaneously. the hud display defaults to voltage when the torque pro app is running...
need to figure that bug out...

Does the edge give you all that information as well? I guess you can only display one at a time though.
I like the concept of what you did, just that for me the current display is way to busy and the tablet takes up a ton of space on the dash....
Maybe a smaller tablet and take it down to half the amount of data displayed?
I guess it depends on each person.

it is completely customizable on different driving screens.
you can have 1 meter or 20...
there are a bunch of different skins also.
a very slick app for $4.95
I believe the edge can give you all of this info as well. what ever the ODB2 connector is giving up they can put in a meter or graph. the edge however has tunes you can put in the truck, the torque app is monitoring and diagnostics only.
give me a couple mins and i will post some screen pics of the app
