You can use an air gun rated for that high but be careful when putting on the lug nuts as they can easily be over tightened. However, you may need that much when trying to get the lug nuts off. Where I work, with our trucks, we commonly have to use a breaker bar to remove them.

Has any of you ever had to remove a Lug Nut that was torqued to 150 ft lbs with what Ford put in the truck as a wrench? I can tell you its just not possible to do. The actual wrench they put in the truck twists under the stress of trying to get em off. I had to to it once. Never again I put em to 125 lbs so I can take em off in a roadside emergency.

I actually have had to use the lug wrench that came with the truck and that isn't the problem. The problem is that people don't actually properly torque these trucks, my best guess is at the dealership, because it's always an F150 that I have to get the breaker bar out for because the impact gun at work won't take them off from being too tight. When I ask the customer who the last person to touch there wheels was, it's always the dealership.

I weigh a buck fifty soaking wet so if I can get them off from a proper torque setting, I would bet someone over tightened your lug nuts.

I torque them to 150 using an actual torque wrench. off with the impact, on with a torque wrench. I carry a breaker bar in the truck instead of the POS lug wrench that is made out of soft steel from the factory.
