Default Rattling door

Everytime I hit small bumps on the road, I get annoying rattling in the drivers side door. Anything I can do about it.

Yep, replace your mushroomed out door bump-stops with this part # W705903-S300. I got 6 new ones tomorrow from Ford for a total of $6.42 plus tax. These are solid and will not compress like the old ones.

No problem. I even kept my old ones and filled them with GE Silicone II to use if I lose any. For some reason, having kids mean these things fall off doors miraculously!

I replaced my stops a few months ago and my driver door is starting to rattle again already. The ones they sold me are not solid so make sure they give you the updated ones. I may try the silicone trick Summers mentioned.

Yep, the 2 dealers here keep trying to sell the hollow cone shaped ones. Those are for the rear doors. The front doors have the solid cylinder shaped bumpers. I eventually asked to see a used truck on their lot and just took them. I figured it was compensation for 3 trips an hour away for them to show me the wrong ones.

I have heard that in the power windows the cable can rattle, simple fix is to put some foam pipe insulation around the cables.
