Default Tires- again

My 08 4x4 super crew came with factory 17" tires on it can I put the 18 or 20" on my factory rims and with out doing a lift kit?

Will I have to do anything with the speedometer or will it still be good?

you can put the stockers on no problem, i had the stock 20's on my xlt, just make sure to swap tpms sensors, otherwise you will have the damn orange light on the dash..

I take it it isn't a good idea to step up the size of the tire on my rims

no.. not a good idea. If you get a 18 or 20 inch tire I would get the rims to match.

hehehe....
After raising Hell on my other thread about the DEALER overcharging to replace my plugs I have something to LAUGH about here.........

but maybe I should put the Captain Morgan away.........hehehehe

and I don't mean any disrespect to anybody, I was just trying to "visualize" some tiny rims with big tires.......I'm probably the least qualified for anything here so my imagination runs outta control sometimes....

But Ricky, you're talking about new 20" rims with 20" tires, right......not 17" rims & 20" tires?

it is just that it is not possible to put a 18 or 20 inch tire on your stock 17 inch wheel. You can upgrade to a 18 or 20 inch wheel and put the coresponding tire with that wheel size. If you use a factory size tire for those rims it will not have much effect on your speedo

ok then Can I get some factory rims and 18 or 20" tires and put them on my truck wiht out lifting it?

Since I have 17" tires/ rims on my truck now If I put a set of 20" tires/ rims will it bring my truck up 3 more inches?

no it won't. rim size has nothing to do with how high your truck sits. you can put some stock 20's and tires on your truck w/ no problems. i used to run the back in the day
