Default Tire and wheel help !!

I know this might have been covered before but every situation is different, here i go.

I have a 2006 f150 2wd xl truck, currently on the market for some wheels and rubbers, I'm planning on installing a 2.5 level kit and tire size to be 285/65/18 with that being said here's my question.

what would be the ideal offset for the wheels having in mind that I want a stock look , meaning I don't want my tires to stick out too much.

the wheels I'm purchasing are rockstars with nitto at's , they are from a seller on ebay and they will come balanced and ready to roll, also is it a good idea to buy tires and wheel packages online?

Please help!!... as I'm really worried to spend so much $ and be frustraded at the end.

thanks a lot !!

Check the height difference between front and back. I have an '06 XL 2wd and there's only 1 3/8" difference between my front and back. With a 2 1/2" level kit, my front end would have been over an inch higher than my rear.

Well I'm a complete noob when it comes to trucks, leveling, offsets, what fits, etc., etc., etc.

But I'm learning little by little as I search and research this forum.

I might be wrong but i think the oem rims has 5.5" backspacing try to stay as close to oem back spacing. I had the same setup on my oem rims and they fit perfect but, if they stick out the wheel well they will start rubbing in the front.

thanks for your replys gentleman !! I'm thinking that if I lift 2.5 inches upfront I will have no rubbing issues.

But the real question is will I be good with 18x9 +30mm 5.5 backspacing?

I can deal with 1 inch sticking out, no more than that!!

I guess more research for me
