35s with a 2.5" lift will work for 4x4 but not 4x2 because 4wd vehicles come from the factory sitting taller.
My friend had a new 2011 F150 2wd XLT with 3.7L and he was asking me about lvling kits and I told him the 2.5" would probably be best and that he could fit 33s, but the sight he was looking at said 35s and I kept telling him yeah but thats only on a 4x4. He told me he believed me but it turns out he didn't so he went and bought it without telling me (because I had told him I would help him put it on) and he bought the 35s. He took it to a shop and they rubbed big time. Thank God he managed to sell them, now he is running on 33s.

But you can look at mine, I have 3" lift on my 4wd with -12mm offset rims and my 33s rubbed slightly.
