Default Tire Selection HELP!! Torn between 2

Hey guys need a little help here because I am torn between two sets of tires.

1. Nitto Trail Grapplers 295/60/R20
2. Cooper Zeon LTZ 285/50/R20

I am looking at option 1 because I have seen them on other trucks and they look great. The exact look I am going for with my truck. The con is the price @$1,400+

Then my buddy comes at me with the Coopers for $700 and they have only a couple hundred miles on them. Pro's for them is of course the price, and also increase gas mileage. I am just worried that they will look too small in my wheel well. And I have not seen any pics of the coopers in that size on the OEM rims.

The truck is a 2008 Screw and has the OEM 20" rims, I have leveled the front end.

Side note: I am also looking at running a 1.5 or 2 inch adapter to push the tires to the edge or outside the wheel well. (yes I know about the spacer vs adapter terminology debate, I will choose the safest highest quality option.. please don't turn this into a space vs adapter debate..)

Thank you in advance for your time,
Drew

I don't mean to be sarcastic and rude but this was before I had my morning coffee and thats all that came to mind. He's trying to decide between 2 very different ends of the spectrum

Coopers are a great tire however the size that your looking at 285/50/20 are only 31.7" which are about stock height and would look small on a leveled truck. The 295/60/20's are 34" tall, big difference in look and overall stance.

Now i'll play devils advocate. Why get either? I got Cooper Discoverer AT/3's which have awesome reviews for $780 out the door, (tax mount and balance). After I get my $80 rebate i'll be at $700 for brand new tires with a 55k mile warranty!! Mine are 275/60/20 which are 33"x11.25" and handle snow, ice and on/offroad just fine.

Here my truck with factory FX-4 twenties, 33" tires and billy 5100's

Now imagine a spacer/adapter to push them out to get whatever stance your wanting.

Just my opinion but pushing the wheels out looks very odd with the skinny stock rims. Give the truck a pronounced walking on stiltz look.

I second the fact that you are looking at two very different set ups. Figure out your priority and go with that.

Here is the truck that turned me on to the 295/60/R20 Nitto's, he is also running 2 inch adapter/spacer.

Thanks for adding fuel to the fire PNW lol. I do appreciate you getting my brain moving on potential options though. I might have to run down to the local tire shop and see if I can find a happy medium.

WHOOPS, I was thinking Nitto Terra's (not trails). My bad. Anyways, that guys (lakemarykid) truck is straight up sexxy! I've seen it before and that offset just looks perfect with those tires and I love the king ranch 20's (but I couldn't find any used).

You gotta pay if you're gonna play. That setup is spendy. Good luck.

p.s. food for thought. With the MT's sticking out like that you think you might have a rock throwing at the side of your truck problem?? Better look for some flares.
