Lots of pictures of everything.

Put it up on local forums, craigslist and autotrader. (I've personally never been able to sell a car through craigslist)

If all else fails, bring it to Carmax or a similar place and see what they offer. The offer is good for 30 days.

Hotwheels don't count...

I would suggest the same with visiting CarMax, and the posting LOTS of pictures. Sold many things on Craigslist, but not a car. I did sell my Honda XR400 and KTM 250 and had a lot of luck with both them. I alwats met in public places, like grocery store parking lots where they could ride them and get a good look.

Pictures of the tire tread, odometer, both side views, esp. if you can get the tail gate in it. Craigslist only allows 4 pictures, so have a couple more available to email if asked. A picture of how clean the interior is (if it is) and maybe replace a side shot with that one. Service history if they ask, if you have any to share.

And don't forget the sign on a busy street either, works for craigslist or maybe other lists if an interested party asks if they can see it. Sign in each side window with the front end facing the street. That way traffic can see it is for sale going either direction without having to crane their neck around to look at the windshield because you were cheap and only bought one sign. Don't put it on a piece of cardboard either. Takes none of your time trying to be a salesman using a sign and they can get back to you for a personal showing. That is how we sold 2 cars. Good luck! A little work but it paid off for me.

Well...I let them crank it up at a Kroger around 10pm. He didn't ride it, just wanted to make sure it idled. I'm pretty he turned around and tried to sell it for more.

Sold 4 cars and 1 truck in 2 years on CL, cars under 5k (first person to come see each car bought on the spot), the truck 16k and took the guy 2 weeks to get the $$ and come get it from about 100 miles out. Good luck , I had 1 pic of each.

You can get around the craigslist 4 pic rule by making a Big advertising picture with all the pics and info included. That's what the dealers do around here in the Portland, OR area.
