Question Tips for a more aggressive sound.

Hey guys I am new here. Just signed up. I have an 04 F150 Lariat with the 5.4L Triton in her. I just finished putting a Flowmaster Super 10 muffler and I do not have the sound I want yet; it is a very mellow deep sound, but it doesn't have that "ballsy" throaty noise yet. Everything is still stock except for that.

Should I look into getting a set of longtube headers or think about cutting the cats off first? I am on a limited budget.

Read the other post on cutting off the cats....don't do it.

Better (and cheaper by saving on the hefty Federal fines) to just stick your head out the window and scream as you drive through your neighborhood.

or swap to magnaflow Hi-flow cats. More sound, still legal, and not too expensive.

Bucko, I don't understand if you are so set on verbalizing your opinion on cat removal why would you state "Read the other post on cutting off the cats...."dont you think thats being semi contradicting to encourage to read a thread on cat removal?

As soon as your mufflers wear in, you will get more "tone", it will sound better.

Lol, some states must have checkpoints at every gas station.

In the United States of Texas people drive for years with no plates, stickers, have bald tires, overloaded trucks, dark tint, aftermarket HIDs, no license and no insurance.

Cats? Cats? We don't need no stinkin cats!!
