Default Tinting Tailights

Has anyone used the rustoleum spray paint that tints your head lights or Tailights? We just started selling it at worked and I'm kind of interested in spraying mine what do u think?

I would avoid it, it isn't designed to let light through. Of course if you use light enough coats light will come through but stick to something like nightshade that is designed to let light through.

Thanks I was reading the can and it seemed pretty interesting, it also says for off road use recommended so makes sense.

It's meant to be the same stuff as vht. I've had mine done for 8 months or so without problems. It seems to be more dull than shiny like the vht but I think that has more to do with how you prep and paint it.

Yeah with light coating you probably will be fine, and make sure you use a lot of coats of clear to keep them bright and shiny

Did you use the rustoleum? Or did you use something different?

When I did them I was trying for a glossy look but like I said I think that has more to do with how you do it. I think some more clear would have helped but I like the look regardless.
