Default Tinted tails

Decided to tint the tails today, $12 in supplies and 30 mins of work(spraying)... not to shabby IMO.

My suggestion would be to add another coat, but I like them to be pretty dark. They look good though.

Does the clear just add a shine to them? I have no clear on mine, just 2 layers of Nite Shade...

Yes and it protects the VHT layers, which can crackle after time without good clear. I used dupont 2 part clear with my spray gun...just as glossy as the truck's paint. Color sanding helps afterwards too.

i like the dull finish personally. They look perfect IMO. i havent ever put any clear on mine and have gone through the salty winters in idaho and the hot/humid summer in alabama and they look great still.

I dunno, maybe its the salt air here, but I've seen more than one set of tails all crackled after a while.
