Default Tint questions

I was planning on having a full detail done same day as the tint. Now I would imagine do the detail first then the tint, am I wrong? Next, how dark should I go? I'm goin as legal as possible in the front "25-35%" what about the back windows, about 15-20? I dont want my windows looking weird from such a big difference in tint. Last question, my main concern for getting tint is for the summer heat. Got in my truck after work today and my thermometer read 120, will the tint help the inside of my truck stay cool?

I went 30 on front windows
5 on back windows, rear windows, and brow
Definitely keeps it cooler with a shade dropped in dash.
I don't think I would detail and tint the same day, for these reasons: tint will have to dry and windows can't be cleaned or rolled down for 48 hours. Plus they will get water and odds and ends on the inside of your cab and mess up detailing if it was done first. if you tint first, then obviously there is the problem of not being able to clean windows or roll them down, etc. you will certainly enjoy the tint! Be sure and post pics after you're done!

Wait to get tint until after you get your truck detailed IMO, and if you want to be legal just go as low as you can go, I see your in texas and I dont know the tint laws there. Here in Kansas its 35% but I did 5% over everything which is illegal including the brow dropped down 8 inches which is illegal as well. I could tell my truck was cooler inside with the tint as well. plus if you get a shade for the front window(dont know the name of them lol) it helps out alot as well!! only pics i have of my truck at the moment.

Thats true on the detail, I'll probably get that done Friday or Saturday and do the tint on Monday. I'm thinkin as legal as possible in the front, so about 25...... And for the back two windows 15..... Do y'all think the very back window at 10 would look odd or just do 15 on all three back windows?

I've always wanted to tint my windshield but never had the guts. I wont get hassled so much here in Arizona, but I live on the border of AZ/NV and Nevada can pull you over for just that alone...

That's awesome! Is it legal to have your full windshield tinted?

KC where you from I'm in Topeka. Im thinking about 20 all around and a brow. There's never any hassle here. Usually only sound systems.
