Default timing chains on 2004 5.4

I suspect my timing chains are stretched. If this is true will the engine have to be pulled to replaced.

That depends. What kind of symptoms do you have? Just a noise?

No, it can be done with the motor still in. All the front accessories need to be removed along with the timing chain cover...

For some reason, I was thinking that he wanted to replace the engine. LOL! Reading comprehension fail.

Hey Lenn! What are you doing in our neck of the woods?? lol

The timing chains can be replaced with the motor installed. Watch FordTechMakuloco's walkthrough on youtube.

I owned a 05 Lariat Supercab 2wd back in 2009 and I just bought a 2004 Lariat Screw 4x4 a couple weeks ago! I had a 2002 XLT screw 4x4 (4.6 pig) in between them and I honestly hated it. LOL!
