Default Time for new cam phasers!!!

Well 74,000 miles on the truck and its time for cam phasers, I bought the truck with 65,000 miles but atleast i was smart enough to spend the extra $1800 on aftermarket warranty cuz Ive already used it twice and from what Ive been hearing is the phasers cost about $1500 anyhow. So lets hope all goes smooth and this cures my idle problem.

Depending on what warranty you get you need to make sure you keep every service record for the vehicle (ie: oil changes, alignments, blah blah) they will use it against you in 2 seconds if you dont have the records. Ive had mine in a few times for lil things but this is the first big mechanical item. Just keep going to the same shop. My friends the drive ability mechanic at ford so hes going thru the whole truck for me and going to replace anything that has wear on it

Take care of it asap. I didnt have an extended warranty and waited about 5 days to fix it, which ended up costing me $6700 for a brand new motor.

Turns out my cam phasers are still ok. Apparently there is a TSB out for the issues i had and the reflashed the PCM to a newer version. My idle is right now and the truck hasnt stalled back out yet either. So hopefully this fixes it.
