Ticking noise from engine
I have a 2008 F150 FX4 5.4L (50,000 miles). It has developed a ticking noise which to me sound like it is coming from the passenger side of the engine and is getting worse. It only appears upon accelorating and goes away once I reach a crusing speed. It does not make the noise when idling. Any ideas on what this may be and how serious?

I had a similar problem at about that mileage. Turned out one of my spark plugs worked its way loose. Replaced and all was good. I wish all of them came out that easily when I hit 100K this spring...had 3 break off.
exhaust manifold leak, mine is getting fixed soon, same problem. its very common with the 5.4L. id check and see if you can get it fixed under warranty. mine is getting fixed under warranty and i have 60,200 miles.... definately check with your dealership that you use the most....
