Very funny guys hahaha!!!! It lets the computer relearn the scale of 0 to 100% throttle opening. If you haven't had the problem I can understand why it's funny to ya though : )

How many miles do you have on your truck? When I cleaned out my throttle body my throttle response from a stand still changed big time. My truck use to not move at idle. But a programmer will do you some good as well. But clean that throttle body!!

Use throttle body cleaner only, and a toothbrush. Do not use carb cleaner.

I for one was serious, I had never heard of this and wanted to know what it did to the system so thanks for that explanation. Anything to improve my performance or mileage is worth investigating. That is how I learned about the EVO and Gotts, both very positive mods for my vehicle.

I had the dreaded hesitation, and I ran my gas down to empty and filled up with 93 octane. then I put techtron fuel injector cleaner in, used a 1/4 tank. That's when I did my gotts mod, but I did reset the pcm and took the truck for a drive at all speeds within 15 minutes of the reset. No hesitation after that. Good luck!

Now start the engine and go for a test drive then report back here with your findings!
This procedure works on my motorcycle so I tried it on my truck and it worked there too!
I also disconnected my battery but that was a couple of days later and wasn't done to correct the throttle problem but it drives like it's suppose to now.
Thanks diamonbird. Went through this procedure Friday and immediately noticed a huge difference in throttle response. Bad news is, I also have noticed a marked decrease in gas mileage.
