throttle body size

Default throttle body size

does anone know how big the tb is on a 06 4.6 in mm. im not with my truck right now so i cant measure it. just wondering i found a 80mm for 100 bucks and was thinking of getting it. thanks

There's no performance gain going to a different/larger throttle body.

there sure is when your throttle body is the bottle neck of your system. when you build your motor and need one not just a cat back and cai but a built motor.thanks blown

not the one in the truck but the one im build is? give it time and you guys will see. i just sent blown some pic of my last truck 78bko ford racing gt40x sc 12 psi ect ect ect

dana 44 front yukon chromo axles 5.13 gear detroit locker. 203 205 doubler 9 in rear trussed/ladder barred nodular 3rd 5.13 gear yukon cromo axle detroit locker c6 converter/line lock. got 10.25 and a 60 in the garage but havent blown the axles yet. but i ru smaller u-joint on purpose as a fuse f350 brakes/ cross over steer and the list goes on

99% of the people that ask that question are wanting to do it to a stock motor. Forced induction is a different story. Good luck with the new build and the old one looked good too.
