Default throttle body cleaning help

Hi all, figured I'd clean my throttle body since its a gorgeous day here in ga. Took the tb off and noticed the piece behind it is gunned up as well. Not an expert by any means but it looks like it needs a good cleaning. Just wondering if it's part of the tb or if I shouldn't mess with it

Thanks.

The back elbow of the throttle body gets dirty from EGR soot, its ugly but doesn't really hurt anything. I've found the best product for cleaning everything out is Amsoil's PowerFoam. If you know somebody that's an Amsoil dealer see if they have a can to try out, I think you'll like it. It foams up and gets into all the little knooks and crannies and really cleans out the carbon buildup. The important parts of the throttle body are the butterfly and where it seats on the throttle body throat, make sure that area is clean. Also hit the idle air control valve air pipe and let some cleaner run through the idle air control valve to clean it out. I shoot some PowerFoam into the air pipe and let the stuff get sucked through, the valve comes out clean enough to eat off of.
