Awesome. By the way just to clarify its not Whipple I'm crazy about. It's the twinscrew blowers in general which takes in Whipple, Saleen, Lysolm, and Kenne Bell. If you can get that Saleen for 1/2 price then by all means jump on it. It's a great blower. JDM is the tuner of choice for the Saleens by the way.

I didn't know Saleen uses twin screw superchargers as well. I'd really like to see Kenne Bell superchargers for our trucks since they use billet casings, but Whipple is more than enough for most of us.

Those billet castings that Kenne Bell uses for the rotor housing are the source of some much maligned heat soak among S197 Mustang owners. I've had a Whipple Supercharger on my '06 mustang for close to 5 years and I don't think the quality of Whipple can be beat. Those guys have their act together.

Heat soak on a twin screw supercharger? I thought that was only on Eaton's original Roots type superchargers!

Good to hear that Whipple is the best twin screw available. Now I'm really itching for one. I'm just undecided on which motor to supercharge first. The Hemi or the Triton? Can't do both!

So the whipple is the way to go for the 5.4, but what about the 4.6l I don't want a Procharger style since it is basically a glorified turbo. I did some research and found the 4.6l 2 valve was used in the 99-04 mustang. It is also used in my 07 f150. I know the bottom end is basically the same, but are the heads the same? Would this whipple bolt on my f150 4.6???

I wouldn't say you got hosed, it's just the simple fact that there wasn't enough demand to build performance parts for the 4.6 when you can easily step up to the 5.4!

Yup. Now if only my Triton could perform like yours!

Procharger is a fine set up. It will make the 4.6 plenty happy. And it is much easier to install as well.

Or you can do a 4v head swap then add a blower. There is always options.

I saw one guy on here that did the 4V swap, but he never said if it ran well. That might be an option. I guess the procharger would be fine, just way more expensive than the turbo, imo
