Default "TEST" showing on odometer

I have a 2007 f-150 4x4 and my odometer is displaying "test" and then it says "sweep guages". then all the guages max out, return to zero, and then start working properly again.....

any ideas what is causing this???

Off the top of my head I'd say it's running some sort of scan, if that's even possible, but could be,I guess, with all the computer/electronic
stuff.

As a battery begins to go bad, all kinds of wierd things start happening. Start with the cheapest thing first, the battery.

My Mustang does this after it sits for a week or so. The battery is getting weak in it I know that but with only a few weeks left in Convertible season in New England I am not buying a new one till spring. I would bet your battery is not up to par. Have it checked or just get a new one and see if the problem goes away. My car before this year only did it when I put the battery back in the car each spring but this year it keeps happening.
