Default Tailgate Oval

I'm assuming this is held on via guide pins and adhesive.
Any tips on removing?

On my 2007 Ranger I had to replace one that faded, and it had metal clips inside pushed onto the plastic pins, no adhesive. I had to unscrew and remove the inside of the tailgate to access them. I don't know if the F150 is the same, however.

My 08 was guide pins and doubled sided tape. I pried it up with a plastic scraper and removed old adhesive residue with goof off.

I wouldn't use a heat gun as that could bubble your paint if not used properly. I recommend a gair dryer instead. It may take a couple of minutes longer but you will avoid issues.

Appreciate the suggestions. Probably gonna just go fishing line and adhesive remover. Something about heat and paint doesn't sit well lol

I used a plastic pry tool at the edge of the emblem and then just peeled it off. Needed some goo gone for the extra adhesive that stayed behind. Wiped it with some isopropyl alcohol and then applied this new one. That was 4 years ago and it still looks perfect.
