I want to learn about products and/or methods to make my tailgate automatically lock and unlock with power. Seeking reviews, comments, suggestions, etc.

I've had mine for several years now. It's functioned 100% perfectly. It's been so long that I simply cannot remember the what and where. +/- 1 hour to hook it up....

 

I’m in Tulsa so not a salt belt. It is on my second truck. First was an 02 now on my 06. Originally from Pennsylvania I think that being inside the tailgate salt should have limited effect on it. Has been flawless so far since 2012

 

Is the only difference between hooking to drivers door vs other door locks: requiring single click (unlock) vs double click ?

 

Yes, at least with mine. That's why I tied into a rear door.
