Default Tailgate Light Bar

Anybody seen one of these installed? Just plugs into your trailer lights..so its simple. I can see this looking good, or it could be overkill.

I really think I like it, but I haven't talked myself into it yet. My girlfriend HATES it. Hey maybe I'll get it just to keep her from wanting to drive my truck, lol. But weriously, I think it's pretty cool. If you like it, go for it.

Just installed a RECON WHITE LIGHTNING bar. works with turn signals, parking lights, brake lights and has white LEDs for the reverse. installed it in about 10 mins. I think its great for safety and visibility!! (hint, remove the tailgate first for better access to the mounting area.) Also it plugs right into the 4Pin receiver, but you need to remove the drivers side tailight to access the reverse wire to splice into for the backup lights to work(1 wire). I highly recommend one!!

I've seen these on some trucks around Jax and to be honest I don't like them. Half of the ones I've seen are all burnt out. I HIGHLY recommend checking into these before you get one. Of all the ones that I've seen, only like 2 or 3 are FULLY lit up. Either the passenger side or the driver's side burns out within a few months.

My recon is good and its been on since september

I spliced it into the trailer jack so I could still pluginto the trailer wiring without messing with the lightbar

Also the tailgate doesn't matter. You can have it on or off. Its a simple install and at 50 bucks I loved it

It gives off a lot of extra white reverse light too

Strick, I have a pic of it in my photo album. Its a crappy cell phone pic so it doesnt do it justice. It kinda makes it look like Knight Rider, lol but on the rear end. It does give off a bit more reverse light, which is nice when backing up in a dimly lit area.

the fire and ice bars are good lights but the cheap ones at autozone last a month or so and burn out
