I backed my 2004 ford f150 Lariat into a fence and put a nice sized hole in it. I have been looking at buying a new tailgate (preferably a white one but i could settle for a black) and it is so difficult to find a 2004-2008 tailgate that isn't overpriced or junk. But i was wondering if different models of f150's had tailgates that could fit on mine. I don't mind if the design is different i just want it to fit.

09-14 would look bad. Anyway, post a pic of the tailgate. If the hole was anywhere near the middle I would make a panel, like on the Roush and Saleen F150's. Super easy to do.

Yeah, 04-08 are the only ones that'll line up and look good. 09-14 would look terrible and won't line up, I agree.

 

It's not that the 09-14 wouldnt lines won't line up but they have a lip on the top and it would look terrible lol

 

As in, it won't line up, at the top.
