My tailgate cables broker today and instead of buying another set of oem ones in gonna make my own so that they are stronger and need to know the length so if someone could please measure the length of there's so I have a accurate measurement f what it is supposed to be thanks

I just got home and read this, I'm going out to my truck right now to measure......

 

It's 24 1/4" from outside of pin to outside of pin.

 

Thanks you now to dig out some spare stainless and try to fab something up

 

I made a pair of these a few years back for a chebby that I owned. I bought the coated cable and the cable crimps from Home Depot....worked like a charm!

 

If I can't figure out how to make a decent one il have to do that the ones I get from the dealer break in a month
