Wink I smell coolant!!!

I smell coolant when I get out of my truck and walking towards the front...I also smell it with my window down sitting at a drive thru window....there are no leaks on the ground after running and sitting...also it kinda seems its going thru coolant kinda fast so I know it's going somewhere.....where to look?

pull your oil cap off and see if it looks white or has any coolant on it. check your oil level to and smell it, see if it smells sweet like engine coolant.

Finding small coolant leaks can be a pain, most of the time the coolant evaporates before it has a chance to drip and indicate the location of the leak. Best thing to do is rent a cooling system pressure tester from autozone and pressure test the system. You can do it while the engine is cold and see exactly where the leak is coming from.

My radiator is leaking in the middle on the bottom took me forever to find it because it evaporates so quick. Check there after a long drive

I've never done one but I think you put it inline of one of the radiator hose. I have also heard of people intake manifold cracking and throwing coolant into the exhuast valves

after driving it for awhile reaching normal operating temp...shut it off pop the hood and watch every hose ...if you can smell it ...you should be able to see it..
