Default Switched power location

I am looking for a switched power location somewhere under the drivers side dash. I'm just running a small radar detector off of it so it doesn't have to provide much power, just don't want to take up another 12V slot.

I've tried searching, but can't seem to track down the location of a true "switched" location.

Thanks in advance,
Wyo

There are several for sure, but it's probably easier for you to get your light and see which wire lights up when the ignition is switched on and just tap into it. Sorry I can't tell you which one exactly, but there are just too many variations in wire color, models, etc. Good luck.

You could use the one from the radio. And/or you can use it just to trigger a relay, and power it using the permanent on aux.
