Question 4 wheel drive issues

I have a 2006 Ford F150 and recently my 4 wheel drive has been acting up. When I turn the switch to 4 high, it will only kick in on occasion. When it doesn't kick in, there is no sounds or anything, it just stays in 2 wheel drive. I've checked all the fuses and they all look good.

Just happened to me. I pulled codes and had a code for iwe circuit failure. Replaced the iwe solenoid on the passenger firewall with the updated solenoid with rain hat on it. $14 my cost I think list was $25-30.
The longest part of it was hooking up the ids. All of a 10 min job.

I have a 2007 Harley Davidson edition with AWD. I notice that when coasting, I can feel the AWD engaging and disengagine repetedly. Sometimes it is more noticeable that others. Has anyone had this problem? Any repair ideas?
