So I'm looking at the ACME 3157 Switchbacks from TRS. They suggest a hyperflash load resistor. Do I need that??.....Currently looking for truck parts from the Caribbean, ordering out of a shop in Georgia, for my truck in Michigan. This might be classified as an obsession now...

Only if you don't want to have hyperflash. An easier solution is to get a new turn signal relay rated for LEDs to replace the factory one under the dash.

You need a EP27 flasher module. Your current module is just above your left knee behind the panel the steering column goes through. Takes 20 seconds to switch. Most places sell it for $15 or so.

I have extremely little wiring experience. Is It just unplug the old one and plug this new thing in? Or do I have to to twist wires and crap like that?

Okay just looked it up. It's a plug-thing. (Excuse my technical terms), now how do I get that panel off w/out breaking it?

You don't need to take the panel off. Just lay in your footwell and look up. It will be attached to the body that the panel is attached to. You can slide it off the retainer, swap out the relay, and then (if I were you), zip tie it back up there.

I took the little side panel on the side of the dash with the hole in it off for easier access to the flasher and such. It's just little plastic pins holding it in, it will come off with a little force. Turn on your turn signal and reach around in there until you feel the flasher ticking.
