I think your truck looks great...not sure what's up with "Mad Gay Dude"
Anyways...I've always wondered why they would say its dangerous or what not to go smaller than recommend size with the rim when I see big 'ol mud trucks with 15's and 50" tires that are super wide. Only thing I can think of is popping the bead maybe while turning or wheeling.

Prolly wouldn't run them at max psi though...it'll let the tire roll more.

No I got them at 30 psi I think I'm getting 9 Inch wheels soon just got to save up the money this was just a temporary set up for now and going with a better backspacing on the wheel so I can drop the 1/4 spacer

not to be rude but i think the right way is obvious... on a rim falling with in the recommendations from the tire manufacturers and likely one that has the backspacing you need instead of spacers. I assume if you're trying to save a few bucks, you didn't buy good hub centric wheel spacers, and if that's the case, the weight of the truck is being supported by your lugs instead of the hub... if you did get quality hub centric wheel spacers (1/4 seem to be hard to find but I did find some for different vehicles) they are usually minimum $2-300 per pair which is enough to get some rims that fit.

i'm not trying to beat you up here, and i actually like the look other than no hub caps... but honestly, you know your set up isn't right, right?

yeah i was typing it and deciding whether or not to post it while a few more posts came up. I get where you're coming from and I would be anxious to get them on if it were me too. those "should" clear on stock rims with your level... was it rubbing badly without them? I think the rim width has a few things... a couple were mentioned like maybe popping the bead off the rim... I think for one it's hard to get a good contact patch for good wear with a tire that wide and to get good a contact patch, you'd need to run an air pressure so low that it will likely be creating excess heat in the tire. the other option is to air them up to where you have bad wear and a bad contact patch which might me less contact than stock tires.

edit: never mind... just checked nitto's site and those aren't 315 (or almost 12.5" wide) but actually 13.27" wide

the stock backspacing is like 5.5 (or really close to that) with 295/70/17's i have 8" wide rims with 4.5" of back spacing and they stick out right around an inch. but I'm only about 11.5" wide with the tire tread. I think only being extremely close to stock backspacing is going to give you 1" if a 1/4" spacer is clearing them now, you know 5.25" of back spacing would work... I'd try to stay between 5-5.25" and likely closer to 5" if it were me... (i believe 5" of backspacing on a 9" wide rim is 0 offset but i've done the math wrong before)
