Default Supercharger question

So after doing some research, I've realized that there a few models f150 (Harley-Davidson edition) that are supercharged from factory.

Has anyone put on a factory supercharger on their 5.4. how about an aftermarket supercharger?

There is a wrecked 03 Harley Davidson edition at my junkyard and I am thinking about giving it a shot.

What year model is your truck? I dont think the 2003 supercharger will fit the 04-08 5.4 3V.

Won't fit. The 03 is a 2v 5.4. You have a 3v 5.4 in the 06.

Ah gotcha. That's what I thought. Wasn't sure what year they went to 3V. Is there any aftermarket turbos or superchargers that won't cost an arm and leg. Or has anyone built a 3V? I haven't seen one yet that was built

Yeah, the supercharger on that 2V 5.4 won't work on yours

They are out there but, when it comes to the 2v and 3v a "built" motor the juice isn't worth the squeeze. You can buy a Supercharger for about $5,500 or a universal Ebay turbo kit for cheap, but be prepared for some fabrication. Depending on the condition of your motor and tune. You could survive on a low boost supercharger for awhile. But, it would be wise to upgrade the bottom end, and 3v 5.4 stuff isn't cheap. In the end a stock 5.0l with a supercharger or mildly built EcoBoost would still walk a way from you unless you're dropping $12k+ in your motor.

Search in the Performance section of the forum I'm sure you'll find some older threads on this from back when the 04-08 f150 was more popular.
