Default Supercharger question

Hey guys I could be posting this in the completely wrong section so if I am i apologize. I am buying a 2004 f150 project truck with a bad motor. M intentions is to put a 2005 5.4 motor in but i am wanting to do a mild build to the motor before installing. I dont know a whole bunch about these motors so i apologize for the stupid questions. So what would yall recommend that i look into doing? I know that i want to add a supercharger to the truck and thats about it. Not sure which one or if its even worth it. I also thought about doing a cam maybe boring the motor over a little. So any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

What I would do personally if I were you man. Buy the truck and then buy a used supercharged lighting engine on eBay. I've seen them for around 2500 shipped. Throw another thousand or so at it for a rebuild and you will get a whole hell of a lot more safer and reliable power out of It. I know it sounds far fetched. But it has been done, they even sell complete wiring harnesses so it will plug straight into your truck. But if your dead set on building a motor yourself. I would suggest BBK 80 mm throttle body. Fass high pressure fuel rail. Fass fuel pump with braided fuel lines. Bigger injectors. Possibly Cams if your wanting to go extreme. And a good tuner will do wonders.

Yeah I really don't know what I want to do. If I could find one fairly cheap I definitely would. Would it boot up ok into a newer truck though?

It's a modular ford 5.4 or 4.6 3v depending on which one you find so it's not far from the stock engine we all have. Just with better internals so it can handle the extra power. Supercharged mustang engine would fit in are trucks as well. Wouldn't bolt right up right up to the trans like a lighting engine but it could be done with a bell housing adapter. The lighting engine uses the same motor mounts and uses the same tranny. So yes technically it would bolt right in. Wiring is another issue
