Default anthter power window problem

Hey guys

I have been searching but have not found exactly what my problem is. so here goes.

I have an 04 F150 Lariat, with a power window failure. All 4 doors, windows are dead. I have NO issues with my locks, radio, power slider, moonroof, ect.

I am heading out to check for broken wires, fuses and relays now.

Thanks in advance guys
Tom

Findings-

pulled the boot from the door side and pushed it into the cab side as deep as I could to gain as much access to scrutinize the wiring harness. Found NO broken wires. Did the same in the reverse direction. Pulled the boot from the cab side and pushed it in to the door, again, no broken wires.

Pulled the switch panel from the door, found the one of the plugs were unplugged. Plugged it in, and it was like magic. Windows started working!!! Oh, wait, drivers window wont go back up. All other windows are working up and down. tested at each door.

Sounds like a bad switch to me.

I just picked this truck up, and know little about it. The body is very clean for its age, interior is near mint other than the window issue. Looks like PO may have unpluged the motor, and jumped the window back up and left it like that.

I will tack down a new switch.

thanks for the help.

Sounds like someone was in there before messing around with the plugs. If the truck has automatic windows try resetting the window. Hold the button up for 7 seconds, then down for 7 seconds then try to reshut the glass. This is probably the reason the switch was unplugged if it will not reset.

too late. I went out and purchased a new window switch and installed it.

I will keep the old one to try in the future. Its cold and snowy here, I wanted it fixed.
