Honesty it would be better to get a sealed box unless it is recommended for this sub to have a ported box. The reasoning is bc whether you have a sealed or ported box the sub still has to get a certain amount of air. When you have a port in it, it makes it harder for the sub to get the air and therefore it will be a lot bigger than a sealed box would be. I'm mainly sayin that bc I wouldnt wanna give up my whole back seat for a system.

Disagree with ^^^ ported boxes always sound a lot louder and cleaner due to much better air flow... but I do agree with him on not taking up the whole back seat, I have a 15" sub and have a ported and unported... ported sounds great, at least twice as loud and hits twice as hard.... but would have to have sacrificed all 3 back seatsand wasn't down for that, so I went with the unported and now just missing my back middle seat

BTW were do u live? I know its a long shot but I have a 15" ported box... for a square sub like I have and for a circle sub not sure what Urs is? U can also look online for ur sub and find the perfect measurements for a box that will give u the best sound then build ur own!

Unless you have a device for EQ, ported boxes in the F150 have a huge bump in the 30-45Hz region due to cabin gain. This is great if all you like is deep bass that sounds muddy with little extension. The natural roll-off of a sealed box works perfectly with cabin gain in the lower frequencies and provides a nice, smooth response with great extension both ways. If the box is too small, it won't play low enough. In the right sized sealed box with the displacement of a 15" driver, you will have a very loud, very smooth substage without the need for major EQ.

If you do have ability to EQ the hump down low and you have a very stout midbass to blend with it, a ported box can be fantastic. But in a mobile environment (car), sealed is usually the way to go. But for home theatre, Ported all the way.
