Default Stutter

I have a 2005 F150 Lariat CrewCab with the 5.4, lately I've been getting a stutter but it only does it sometimes and different speeds/RPM's. I drive about 30 miles each way to work and sometimes it will stutter once on a one way trip, sometimes it doesn't so maybe 4 times in 1 week. How would I go about diagnosing this? I changed the plug two weeks ago but that didn't make a difference, also changed the fuel filter.

Does the engine stutter when accelerating? Had the same issue when accelerating and uphills at round 1500 rpms. I changed plugs AND coils. Stuttering disappeared. The diagnostic tool from my mechanik threw misfire on cyl1.
My mechanic said, that the coils could've caused that. But i had to change plugs too, so i changed both.

I would try easy stuff first...clean throttle body and Mass air flow sensor ...run some Lucas fuel treatment to clean up the injectors. could very well be a COP like stated above...you didnt mention the mileage on the motor...

The stutter can be under acceleration but also when on cruise control. Truck has 120,000 miles on it, will try the cleaning of throttle body and mass airflow sensor first and will let you guy's know.

No, COP's were not replaced. You can change just the plugs and springs?
