Hey everyone,

I am new to the site but introduced myself last week.
Anyways, I was looking over my truck today (08' F150 FX2). I was planning on buying the Ground Force Lowering shackle set, but as I was looking in the rear I noticed my leaf springs are not in the stock location! There are a set a lowering shackles already installed. The truck was brand new when I bought it, so I am wondering if Ford installed these on all 08' fx2's. I have included pics, so hopefully someone with a bit of knowledge on this subject can help.

i dont have an 08 but my 07 is like that stock. thats not a drop shackle. a drop shackle would be much longer

That is stock. All trucks are like that. Have a look when you in the local wal-mart parking lot.

yeah that is stock. i just helped a buddy of mine install shackles on his 08 fx2 and am about to put some on my own next weekend. when u install the lowering ones u can see the shackle just about touch the bed. they are indeed way longer than the stock ones that u have

Are they the same on all the F150's?? I've heard that since the FX2 is more of a sport truck that they don't have the same shackles as the other models. I've read that they have more of a "sportier" suspension than all the other models.

Thanks guys....I will check and see if I can find a pic of the lowering shackle installed. Dang!!! I thought I was about to save some cash....
