Steering wheel controls
I had taken my steering wheel off to paint some of the trim parts and the steering wheel- parts came out fine( the covers ahead of the wheel) but the steering wheel was a lost cause. When I put it back together, the switches for cruise and such have no "spring" to them- they just kind of flop around. This was some time back- I thought I was going to replace the wheel but since found out you can't find them new and the used are in the same shape. I had pulled the button asy out of either side while attempting to paint it- I don't recall I took anything apart and just put it back together- what puts tge tension on those buttons? The right side lights up, the left does not... everything worked fine before I took it apart. I havexa lariat so it has cruise on the left and then audio and climate on the other, 06 lariat. Can find new parts either...I can probably fine a crappie steering wheel but if I can fix what I have...little stumped on why they did not go back in and work?
