I took my starter out for my header swap. I also had to unbolt the passenger side motor mount and jack the engine up 1-2" to help get the header in. There is a bolt that is on top of the starter, but you cant see it. It bolts towards the cab, so the bolt head is towards the front end. Its hard to see, but you can feel it. Its even harder to get back in. Sorry no pics, but did this help? Any other questions?

i had no issues putting jba headers on my 4.6 i did have to make "custom" tools tho. nothing a map gas torch, table vise and some muscle couldnt fix. cut and bent a few wrenches and the job was easy. didnt have to unbolt the starter or motor mounts
